Batboozled

So what was it that they didn’t believe: that Robin straight up saw a caveman at all, or that he saw a “fierce-looking” caveman?  Perhaps they had been brainwashed by Hanna Barbera propaganda in regards to a caveman’s disposition?  Or maybe it’s all neanderthal-samboism?
